My work is bright and figurative, displaying realities of femininity, fragility and connection, and how all intersect. I value space in my work, and light feeling compositions.

I paint with oils, casein and egg tempura, as well as making my own paints. I use laminated panels, clayboard, and the occasional stretched canvas. I work figuratively and spatially. I am inspired by other women artists, and artists that use space. My biggest inspirations right now are Mina Loy, Jennifer Packer, mundane and boring spaces, and organic forms from nature and the body. My most current work (House, Touch and small pinches) show the fragility of my body and the relation between the landscape of the body and the natural landscape. Finding a calm lapse of time in both, regardless of the fear that is prevalent in either.

Painting is a sort of record, of how I feel, how I exist from one moment to the next. I seek to make connections with those close to me and those who view my art. I value honesty in my work.
